Let’s start simple... galentine’s, what actually is it?!
In short from, it’s the friendship version of valentine’s day. A day to shower your besties with love and affection and the perfect excuse for a girlie get together. I personally can’t think of a day better spent.
In the interests of making sure you have the PERFECT galentine’s day, I’ve put together a list of 5 ways you can celebrate this year.
NUMBER ONE: The boujiee budget do.
With the shock horror of January only just waving goodbye, keeping our budget hats on is probably a good idea. Although we’d LOVE nothing more than to jet our besties off the Maldives for the foreseeable, let’s be sensible girlies and keep to an evening in.
I’m sure I’m not the only one to have seen the ‘bring a board’ trend circulating my TikTok fyp page. So, pick a theme each, bring a board of booze and food, and do what we all do best, eat, drink, and laugh the night away.
NUMBER TWO: The gift exchange
Secret Santa … but in February. You and your gal pals can play Mrs Calus with the galentine’s gift exchange. Lucky for you, Scarlett Lily has you covered for anything homeware & gift related. NUMBER THREE: Cake decorating
Leave pottery painting in 2023.
Cake decorating is another *extra cute* activity trend that has been screaming in my face all over TikTok. So why not host your own. Obviously make sure to include a bottle or two of prosecco, served best in the prosecco puss flute!
NUMBER 4: Boozy brunch
A timeless classic. I don’t need to write much here, you know how they go.. and they go GOOD.
NUMBER 5: Make new gal pals
Don’t live near your besties, or want to make a new group of gal pals? The lonely girls club, has you covered! They do LOADS of fab events, mostly London, Manchester and Nottingham based. They are a community helping people meet-up, hang out, make friends and make life less lonely!
